A bigger home for the medical device community - open to the world Over the past months, the SWISS MEDTECH Galaxy has grown beyond what its original name suggested. Along the journey, we have seen companies, experts, researchers and organizations from across the medical device ecosystem joining the Galaxy. We have also started building new collaborations with organizations and associations across the MedTech and Biotech landscape - collaborations that go beyond the original scope of the Galaxy. One thing has become increasingly clear: The medical device community needs a common home that is bigger than Switzerland and broader than a single association or network. That is why we are taking the next step.

Welcome to the Medical Device Galaxy

The SWISS MEDTECH Galaxy is becoming the Medical Device Galaxy. This is not simply a name change. It represents the expansion of the community, the scope and the ambition of the ecosystem. The Medical Device Galaxy brings together the people and organizations involved in developing, manufacturing, regulating, researching and bringing medical devices to market, across disciplines, organizations and borders.

The doors are now open to the world

From today, experts and organizations from around the world can join the Innofuse ecosystem through a free version of the Medical Device Galaxy. This new access model allows companies with limited budgets, independent professionals, researchers and experts from universities, institutes and other organizations to become part of the community and benefit from the expertise, knowledge exchange and matchmaking opportunities within Innofuse. Innovation should not depend on the size of your budget. We want to create a common home where expertise can be discovered, exchanged and connected and where valuable knowledge can reach the people who need it. Free access. Same standards. Opening the Medical Device Galaxy to a free version does not mean lowering the standards of the ecosystem. The legal framework remains at the core of Innofuse. Every participant, whether joining through a paid license or through the free version, enters the same legally safe environment and is required to accept and comply with the applicable Innofuse legal framework. This is fundamental to how Innofuse operates.

Developing a medical device and successfully bringing it to market requires expertise across a wide range of highly specialized disciplines. The** Medical Device Expert Pool consists of real-world, hands-on and proven experts from the industry**. Each expert contributes deep knowledge in one or several specific fields and brings practical experience from the realities of developing and commercializing medical devices. From the industry to the industry. These experts will share their knowledge through affordable, specialized training, contribute and administrate free to access Communities of Practice around their respective fields of expertise. The goal is to make deep, practical industry knowledge more accessible, helping companies and professionals shorten learning curves, avoid common mistakes and gain access to expertise that is often difficult to find.

The first cohort is already being assembled. 16 carefully selected experts have been hand-picked by Innofuse to form the first generation of the Medical Device Expert Pool. Their profiles, areas of expertise and upcoming training sessions will be announced soon.
