Innovation Management Honest Talk

Five organizations. Five perspectives. One open conversation about Innovation Management.

Last Wednesday, we hosted the first session of our new Honest Talk series on Innovation Management at ORBIZ Josef in Zurich.

The idea behind Honest Talk is simple: create a space where experienced professionals can openly share what they actually do not what is supposed to work on paper.

In a carefully selected, closed round, five experts from different organizations came together to discuss their approaches to Innovation Management. The conversation covered processes, tools, structures, experiences and practical challenges—but most importantly, what is working in their organizations, what is not, and why.

What made the session special was the openness of the exchange.

Different corporate realities collided in the room, creating exactly the kind of discussion that is often difficult to have in conventional conferences or networking events. Participants could speak transparently about their experiences, challenge established approaches, and share lessons learned without the need to present a polished success story.

The result was a highly valuable exchange of expertise. Ideas, practices and experiences from one organization suddenly became useful input for another.

From MedTech and beyond

The first Honest Talk brought together perspectives from the MedTech environment. But this is only the beginning.

The session marks the starting point of a series of Honest Talks that will bring together Innovation Managers from different industries and domains. Upcoming sessions will include perspectives from ICT, Biotech and other high-tech industries.

The goal is not to create another networking event. It is to build a recurring forum where people responsible for innovation can learn from each other, compare approaches and openly discuss the realities behind innovation management.

Small group. High energy. Real exchange.

We deliberately kept the group small and hand-selected. This created the right atmosphere for a focused and personal discussion and the energy in the room was remarkable.

The setting helped, too.

Hosted at ORBIZ Josef, Innofuse's second physical co-creation space in Zurich, the workshop had everything needed for an inspiring evening: an excellent location, professional equipment, great catering and a relaxed environment that made genuine conversation easy.

But ultimately, it was the people who made the evening.

Five corporate perspectives. Different experiences. Different approaches. One shared willingness to learn.

That is what Honest Talk is about.

And this was only the first conversation.

The next Honest Talk is already in the making.

The conversation continues on Innofuse

As with all sessions in the Honest Talk series, the key takeaways and valuable insights from the discussion will be shared with the participants on the Innofuse Platform, within the dedicated Community of Practice.

This allows the exchange to continue beyond the physical workshop, giving participants the opportunity to revisit key insights, build on each other’s experiences and keep the conversation alive within the community.
